Tidbits: I apologize for the glare on the senior picture. Whoever is to Becky Stewart's left is not being banned. About a dozen tries and it still glares on somebody. The photo is in the Archives room, 202, in the old high school. I will replace the photo if someone has a better version. -- JU

Brookville was known as the Purples until 1936. The original fight song, written in 1931, has a phrase that pays homage to the Purples. It was later changed to reflect the green-and-white, but we didn't sing that phrase anyhow. THE SONG

Did you know? That until 1962, telephone numbers were only two or three -- or four -- numbers long? In 1962, the move toward the dial phone in Franklin County commenced.
